Choir of the Year Commission 16.01.14
The prize for winning the prestigious Choir of the Year competition is to commission an original work by a composer of the choir's choice, sponsored by BBC Radio 3. Les Sirènes is delighted to announce that the choir has selected to work with renowned composer Paul Mealor on this exciting new piece for female voices. Paul was recently voted the UK's favourite living compser, having composed works for the Royal Wedding, the Military Wives Choir and the National Youth Choir of Scotland. Andrew and the girls are honoured to be working with Paul, and feel his lyrical style will be a perfect fit for the choir. The piece will be recorded and broadcast on BBC Radio 3 later in the year.
Performance with Glasgow Orchestral Society 16.11.15
Les Sirenes will be performing the Debussy Nocturnes with the Glasgow Orchestral Society on Sunday 20th March 2016 at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Tickets will be avaialble from the RCS Box office very soon.

As the BBC SSO announces its '14/'15 season it is now time to reveal that we will be performing with this prestigious orchestra in their closing concert on Thursday 14th May 2015 at 7:30pm at the City Halls in Glasgow, performing Mendelssohn's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". This is a very exciting opportunity for the choir and will see the girls perform alongside Katherine Broderick Soprano and Clara Mouriz Mezzo-soprano, conducted by Markus Stenz.
Les Sirènes are pleased to announce that our closing concert of our '13/'14 Season will take place on Friday 6th June 2014 at 7:30pm. This concert wll feature the world premiere of the choir's Paul Mealor commission which is titled '"Autumn Evening". The focus of the concert will be a journey through our four seasons in a programme of music by British composers. The venue for this concert is to be confirmed very soon and more information will appear on the concerts page of the website. The choir hope to see you at this wonderful occasion.
